BOAT MAINTENANCE
We offer winterisation / antifouling & winter lay up for boats  & outboard / inboard engines in order to keep them healthy over the winter period, & de-winterisation & re-commissioning / servicing at the beginning of the summer season.
For a boat owner, these two appointments are probably the most vital ones to make in order to ensure the good up keeping of a boat & engine & we highly recommend it to all of our customers because it has proven so successful over the years.
The boat pictured has had the hull fully sanded, primed & antifouled with the water line taken lower after the previous antifoul had been taken too high up the hull.
We replaced the windows in the canopy & carried out a full re-stitch.
ENGINE REBUILD
NS Marine offers a complete outboard or inboard strip & rebuild service for all makes & models, during which the engine will be completely disassembled in order for every part to be tested to specification. All parts not within the parameters will be changed or repaired as necessary.
All parts are cleaned thoroughly, & as an optional extra we can sand blast, prime & respray the engine blocks & cylinder heads. The engine will then be re assembled with all the new parts & necessary gaskets. Lastly it will be tested & inspected prior to customer collection.
FULL RESTORATION
This restoration project was on a 31ft de-commissioned lifeboat converted into a motor sailer which needed a thorough revamp both inside & out. We raised the coach roof to allow more headroom, installed extra windows & repaired several holes in the hull which was then fully re painted & antifouled. The deck & roof were fibre glassed along with an entire new gelcoat on the top structure. All the woodwork was restored, repaired & painted along with a whole new set of upholstered seating & berth cushions. We installed a sink, shower & a toilet & all the basic electrical equipment. We rebuilt & marinerised a Ford 1.8l diesel engine & installed that along with replacing the mast & all of the rigging.
